Here is the response from sonystyle.com when I bitc$ed them out: Thank you for contacting Sony Direct Customer Care.
Unfortunately, the Blu-Ray player is being delayed due to technical reasons that as a representative for Sony Style I am not at liberty to discuss. Sony has a commitment to releasing quality products and will not release a model that is not as technically perfect as possible. I apologize if this has caused you any inconvenience but our ultimate commitment is to quality. In regards to financial compensation, Sony Style is not able to offer any credit on an item ordered through another retailer. Again, I apologize but assure you this wait will be worth it in the use of a technically superior High Definition player. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you.
