It really depends on the resolution as well, a lot of netbooks have that odd 1024x600 which isn't really good enough for most websites or apps.

12.1", Ion 2, DDR3, Win 7 Premium, 1.3GHz CULV and a decent size HDD or a fast SSD would be the ultimate $600 portable.

and speaking of tablets, i wonder how long until tablets and netbooks merge into one type of computer. don't see the point in a netbook if the tablet does the same thing, and looks better.

all my gf does on her netbook is play on facebook and watch movies. no need for a keyboard really..
