ludawg23 Expert Member Member since:Feb 2009 Blu-ray collection:22 Trading Score:13	Defective Samsung BD-P1500 Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone had the same problem as I have right now. I purchased this unit for my father in June 2009. Recently, when my dad powers on the blu-ray player, it doesn't show anything on the TV screen...no samsung symbol or anything. It won't read a regular DVD or even a blu-ray. It's definitely not the TV and we've tried switching out HDMI cables as well. No luck Should I try to update the firmware? Will this help? I tried calling customer support and while i'm still under warranty for parts, i'm out of warranty for labor and they want $90 to fix it. This is not an option as I purchased the player for $150.
