Hey everyone,
I was just trying to get the PS3 to work in HD on my SD-projector. This might not make sense, but... As this projector has a native resolution of 1024x768 and does accept HD-signals, it should be able to display HD-content in 720p. However, the thing that dazzles me in case of the PS3 is its limited amount of outputs and how the heck I could get the HD-signal to the projector. Now I did get the PS3 to show up, but only via a Video-connection, outputting it from the AV-thing and connecting the video-connector only. Cause the audio simply goes to the receiver through the Optical connection, that's no issue. Might be in SD as also the receiver is an older SD-one, but it did create me some beautiful surround-sound from games. Besides Video, the projector also takes S-Video and there is also this "Computer In" pin-connector. Since S-Video is rarely used with HD, I believe it should be possible to send HD via the pin-connector. At least the manual says it's for RGB and Component. But then, would you know how I could get those signals from the PS3 and then into this pin-connector? My best guess would be using the HDMI-output, then have some type of HDMI>pin-connector adapter. But I don't know if something like that exists. Do you know? |
