Have not heard about backwards compatibility with previous Rock Band games, that is a good question. My inital guess is that they would work, hell PS3 controllers work, just a matter of buttons... I would be suprised if they where not backwards compatible.
As far as cross-game compatibility, this is a little more tough, as although the games may read the buttons the same, the buttons themselves may not be the same on each guitar.... I am sure you will be able to use guitars on both game, but I doubt that all the buttons will be the same.. so if you hit yellow on a GH3 guitar, it may be hitting a different cord on the rock band guitar.. although I am not 100% on that either.. |
