So my 2.5 year old son is heavy into knights and dragons. He has a growing collection of Papo & Schleich stuff. We got Disney's Sleeping Beauty for him.
Then I start to realise that there just aren't a lot of medieval movies about dragons, and knights. There's really only 1 live action and its' the severely dated Dragonslayer. With today's technology, I'd really love to see more fantasy movies. I mean, I don't get why we don't have a lot as it is between all the D&D pen & paper stuff, World of Warcraft, etc. We have plenty of WWII flicks, plenty of flicks about animals (from Mickey Mouse and Bambi to Madagascar and Bug's Life)..plenty of sci-fi flicks... So what's the deal? Why are there not many movies about dragons when they are as popular as space ships and tanks? |
