would my A/V be better by swapping recievers???

okay, right now in my theater room i have a marantz sr8001 for my reciever, i also have a reciever in my family surround sound setup, and it is a marantz sr7002. would i benefit from switching the two if i wanted better sound and video in my theater room? i believe the 8001 is 1.2 hdmi and the 7002 is 1.3, is that enough to make a difference? plus i dont know what other differences there are between the two...
