I was also happy the tone was more in tune with the first movie of the series. I know many people consider Aliens a masterpiece, and perhaps it is in terms of the action genre. As a sequel to Alien I felt it failed, and I much prefer number three to it.

Also, I read one of the scripts to Alien 3 and it was incredible! Not the prison planet one, but one of the other versions. I dont know why they didnt go with it though.
