personlly i hate to say it, but if you use those goodies a lot i would say its worth it. 90% of the time when i watch movies its not at at time i can really crank the audio and take advantage of lossless audio. But i stream TV shows and movies from netflix daily. just depends on your preferences. But wait, do you already have a player that uses 5.1 analog? if so why not just use both? one when you want lossless, and the other when you want goodies.
