It was a pretty good movie. Karan Johar/Dharma did a REALLY good job with the graphic violence and effects. All except ONE TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, 5 minute thing in the middle of the movie.

I hope it's not a spoiler, but all throughout the movie there are American people speaking English and it's perfect, no lame overdubs like older movies. It seemed very authentic and professional, but... FOR SOME REASON in the middle of the movie, there is a scene with Vivek Oberoi and Saif Ali Khan in a University lecture hall and for God knows what reason they dubbed the white boys and white girls speaking Hindi. It blew my mind and I nearly cried, LOL. I really don't get it. Especially since the Hindi actors/actresses spoke English throughout the movie to each other. Clearly someone was high when that scene was edited.

Besides that, very good!

I watched the film on DVD at the weekend, and that scene was in English, so there is hope!!

OH GOD. So what on Earth did I watch? A weird edited version? It was the official DVD...

Or maybe it was the audio track. I watched it with 2.0 instead of 5.1.

Anyway, I'm glad then. With the exception of what I heard, the movie was good.

hahaha That's hilarious! I still can't wait to watch it. For any of you guys who have seen both, which do you like more: New York or Kurbaan?

They're both quite good. New York is more bollywood masala-ish than Kurbaan though...

Also, Kareena over Katrina any day. Cannot stand it when she speaks!!

I'm the polar opposite. I choose Katrina over anyone else.

But I agree with Kurbaan slightly more serves the purpose since it seems more 'real' in the production. I still enjoyed New York though.

Gadar- Ek prem katha is the best movie i ever watch.
Please update release date of Gadar soon.

Wrong question? Your question should be if this movie is ever going to be released on blu which I doubt it. Again I may be wrong

Just out of curiosity have indian studios ever used HDCAM SR tape for production of a BD? or do they plan on using it at some point in the future?
