I have ordered 4 WB titles with amazon. But unfortunately only two will be shipping next week as there is some kind of delay on the Shinning and Full Metal Jacket

Given that HDDVD supporters are now aware that this is the week when they could turn the tide support is indeed crucial.

PLEASE SUPPORT OUR FORMAT WITH AT LEAST ONE BR PURCHASE THIS WEEK.

I am concerned about the current week as well, including the unavailability of the Kubricks. So I just ordered a bunch of new titles from Amazon. I encourage others to contribute to the current week's sales figures.

If you guys just print out the Target webpage for The Shining @ $18.95 chances are pretty good you could get any Kubrick title you want price matched at BB. Just take it up to customer service and ask if they'll price match your ad. I did and got The Shining and 2001...I just said they were both WB titles released on the same day and the employee said "they're the same price anyway" and she pushed it through. Give it a shot.

Hi,

Just a question here...

I order-ed Pirates 2 and Prestige Monday just before Transformers was released from Amazon and it almost didn't ship in the same week even though it show-ed as In stock. Could it be there is plenty of BOGO deals that haven't shipped until this week helping us carry this weeks sales data as well?

Either way,.. I'm thrilled with the news of the Blu Ray winning Transformers week and I'll celebrate in my favorite way but going out to buy BR.

I would hit up BJ's but I don't trust them to report the sales on time so maybe I will look for a target ad to pricematch at Best Buy.

I almost WISH that I didn't get Kubrick's titles yet, considering this week I picked up those, Hostel, Hostel II, Scary Movie, Mr. Brooks, and Meet the Robinsons.

5 movies would have been fine, I think. Instead I'm "stuck" with ten.

Intresting, I'd like Paramount try to explain where they got that 190k sold number from. I knew that was pie in the sky numbers so it'll be intresting if they make a public statement that explains where their numbers came from.

They never said shipped in their statement, they said SOLD so that implies it was from the retail end. At least Sony (at least from what I remember) explained their numbers are shipped numbers and not retail sales when they've done this previously. This was an important week and the fact they were willing to lie to get a couple days of good media coverage really makes them look desperate.

Exactly WHEN they said it is the more telling part.

As long as they could get a headline of good propaganda.
When the posted it on Monday I kindah had the feeling right away
it was because they knew the numbers were not favorable for Friday.

But HEY HD-DUD fans like being lied to.

It is based on Neilsen numbers as they are the same company that publishes the Neilsen numbers every week.

65:35 YTD

61:39 SI

So they moved it 1% for YTD with this week's numbers.

Cheers. It didn't even move the overall numbers. Hilarious. Friends, I do honestly believe we witnessed the begining of the end.
