I just got the Samsung BD-P1400 and need to get the firmware update but am having trouble downloading it via eathernet. I'm on a Mac connected to the internet via the Apple Express.
My immediate thought was to just go to samsung.com and download the firmware and burn to disc, but it appears that's only availabe for Windows machines. ![]() I've unplugged my eathernet from the Apple Extreme and plugged it directly into the Blu-ray player. But each time I try to get the update I'm told to check the Network settings. I've changed the IP and Subnet Mask to the info I found in System Prefrences on the Mac but is that the right thing to do since the eathernet cable isn't connected to the Mac? What am I doing wrong? ![]() |
