Hi All,
I have been struggling with a windows 7 pro install on my computer. I have an ASUS MOBO, av8n mvp delux, amd x2 athlon 939 socket, with XP Home. When I boot from CD (with windows 7 in the drive) teh computer never gets past the "starting windows" screen. Is it that my motherboard isn't compatible with windows 7? Ultimately, my question is this: Is installing windows 7 worth the extra trouble? The reason i wanted to upgrade to windows 7 was to take advantage of the media-center freature. But if the media-center and windows 7 aren't worth it, then i don't want to waste my time trying to upgrade. Can anyone offer any advice on this? Thanks in advance |
