Does this sound legit?

I'm selling my camera trying to upgrade to a newer model and so I threw it on craig's list. Well I got an e-mail from someone ready to purchase it and this was the e-mail I got back from them...

I was just about checking for your email,would have come to pick it up
myself but am out of town at the moment. am buying this camera as a
birthday gift for my niece who is in west Africa, i will like you to
help me deliver it to her before her birthday, and i will be adding
$100 for shipment expenses through
postal service express mail (USPS).

Payment will be through PayPal, because of my job i can't
make cash transaction at the moment,just send me PayPal money request
to this email, so i can make payment immediately and if you don't go
to paypal website and signup for an account

If "she" picked up my PayPal address, what damage could be done? Should I just ignore the e-mail or even bother sending a PayPal request to see what happens? Anything outside of the USA I usually just dismiss but I kind of figured PayPal could back me up on this one...but idk.

edit: also the e-mail I'm using to respond to her is not associated with my PayPal or eBay account, those go to other e-mails to prevent anything from happening to them.
