Default SUPER METROID Discussion Thread...

OK, you guys; I know this game's 16 years old, but I still love it to this day. I actually bought the cartridge of it a few days ago, for $20 at a retro-themed game store. It took a lot of cleaning (both inside and out), but now I think it looks pretty good...

I did a complete run-through shortly after I got it, and was amazed how much I'd remembered about it. It took about 4 hours, all told, to beat all the bosses and face Mother Brain. I didn't get all the power-ups, but all the major ones wound up in my arsenal. I also took a few shortcuts through areas like Brinstar, to shave some time off my final in-game completion (which now sits at 2:47).

So, I guess this is the place to share your thoughts, memories, and current opinions about this game. Let's hear it!
