Default Sony Vs The World

I have been pricing new HD TV's 50"+ 1080p, and have noticed an incredible difference in price between sony and everyone else, Samsung in particular. There sets are, on average, about $1000 more, I saw on Sony Style a 70" TV for $32.000!!!!!!!!!, is that a missprint? Are the Bravia sets really that much better then Panasonic? I like there TV's but when Samsung has a 60" for under $2,000 and Sony has a 46" for over $2,000 one has to wonder.
