DVE HD Basics BluRay Blue Filter Question

I am starting this as a new thread as I have not seen this asked before. Also, other DVE threads seem to be years old, so I do not want to ask there.

I have a Qualia 006 and a DVE HD Basics BR. I ran the color bars and looked thru the Blue filter. OK, I see a blue background and the 6 almost black Squares but nowhere can I see just what I am supposed to adjust. I mean, do the squares go away, is the background supposed to be as dark as the squares? I ask as the color adjustment on the Q006 only adjusts the amount of the color. Tint/hue is something else but I just seem to have a block on what I am looking for.
