My first playthrough was on PS3. Got the platinum. I ended up giving it to my bro to play

My 2nd playthrough was on PC after I got it for dirt cheap with all high rez details and PhysX on. It was AWESOME. Got the 1000 gamerscore.

Right now AA represents the only game that I have a both a platinum and 1000 gamerscore for.

F*** yes!!!! I just replayed Arkham Asylum for the fourth time the other day and it's still just as exciting with each playthrough. A year's wait bites pretty hard, but I have no doubt this will be my favorite game of 2011.

Expecting a great follow up to a great game in a year is very difficult process to pull off, so I don't see us having to wait an additional year as a bad thing.

+1

That's why they are scaling it back. The majority of the people who played the game, myself included, just kept Detective Mode on the entire game. Supposedly, you are only going to be able to use it a certain times in Batman : AC.

The first one was way better than I expected, found myself going back to find all the hidden gems in the game...I will gladly wait a year for the other one..

I see them letting you use it the same on Easy but on normal you can ue it some but on Hard you can't use it at all. Well unless they have certain parts of the game where you have to.

As others have said, waiting another full year for this game is going to be tough, but it is such a RELIEF that it appears Rocksteady is taking their time and not rushing through it. Nice to see that Warner is allowing them to produce the game that Rocksteady wants. This should easily be on the short list for top game of 2011.

I'm really excited to see what details we are given on 9/2 when the Official Playstation Mag runs the story. Maybe we'll get leaked info before then *fingers crossed*

Another thing that used to irk me about the first one was having to hold X to run. Granted there were some tight corridors and areas where walking around was more practical, but I would have preferred maybe a double tap on X to run and he would continue running until you canceled the animation.

Anyone here think Robin/Batgirl will make an appearance (either playable for a level or two or just cutscenes/story related? I'd love to see a level where Batman would be caught or knocked unconscious, then either Robin or Batgirl become playable and come to the rescue, but get caught themselves and you would regain consciousness and control Batman again and do the rescue yourself

I can't wait to see new gadgets, maybe a Killer Croc on the loose fight, more hallucination fights with Scarecrow (not just running to lights), better vehicle usage, an actual Riddler fight ( battle of the brains), CATWOMAN for sure .

Also, now that it's not just the asylum, enemy types have to be much more varied. I loved fighting the Titans, but there were only a few in the entire game. I'm hoping for huge mechanical enemies, more titans, maybe huge titan-infused animals, etc.

There's so much they can do with this game, but also so much they could screw up. Either way, I hope they leave the combat pretty much unchanged, as in retrospect it was pretty much genius

Yeah, I'm really excited for new info on this game.

It coming in 2011 IS for the better. I have a lot of Batman graphic novels to read in the mean time.

I guess thats a positive way to look at it, but maybe I'm mistaken but didn't they say when it was announced that it would be out in late 2010/ early 11 at the latest?

i just played arkham asylum for the first time (bought it when it came out but im soooo behind on gaming) i was addicted right away and yeah a slight gripe is that i played it all in detective mode basically

i like the idea that its going to be in the city in this next game.. but i was hoping it wouldnt be a prison city... but rather the criminals have escaped and im rounding them up in gotham or something... i'd like the public to be involved in the calamity

I'd love to see Robin in the game only if it were Tim Drake as Red Robin. They could put Jason Todd as Red Hood. I don't want to see Robin have a BIG part, but a cameo.

Batgirl is very unlikely since Batgirl and Oracle are the same person, unless they brought in Cassandra Cain

CC would be fine as Batgirl (they wouldn't even need a VA lol), Or they could go Stephanie Brown as Robin and kill two birds (no pun intended ) with one stone.

As a player you would control a female character that would keep the visuals fresh, as well as changing the feel/weight of the character. (altered jumping height, quicker running, different gadgets, attacks, etc.)

For some reason in games I get bored of looking at the same character for so long, be it Sheva, Drake, Batman, etc. Even optional skins & suits could help this. (Batman AA had the armor suit, but was only equippable in challenge mode )

No. They never said that but people have said that was Warner's goal, but it didn't take long for Warner to figure out that wasn't likely.

Oh ok... I just remember reading or seeing something about 2010 and was shocked it was so quick, and then started getting hyped for that timeline ...

Oh well I can wait
