even though i rate all seasons highly (lowest season rating is 3, with a 4/5) i still have many, many, many issues with the series that each season has (which drives me crazy). and actually when i started season 1, i watched 3 episodes, stopped for like, 7 months and then re-started so when you guys get started on Dexter, know that it might take awhile to fully sink in.

oh, and Squid, unlike LOST, Dexter doesn't really have any "OMG!" stand out, truly great episodes. it's more that each of the 12 episodes in a season is a puzzle piece and the final completed puzzle is better than the sum of its pieces. just an fyi
Yeah I generally don't take hype too seriously unless I hear it from some of you cats in here or some of my friends with good taste, otherwise I'll just say it sounds good and I'll check it out sometime. I'm excited to start watching Dexter, LOST, and Breaking Bad. And I still need to finish Rome... dunno why I stalled out on that one

Pfft, I'm pretty sure you would take Triangle over Disaster Movie any day you were given the choice.

I believe I said that if lDlisturb3d, not you, doesnt like it, then I will eat my hat.

I am making my bet based on the aspects of his tastes that I am thus far familiar with.

I'll wager $20.00 that I wont be having hat OR shoe (Czar ) in my diet anytime soon.

Realist01 is confused. He is talking about THE Triangle (2005), not Triangle (2009).

The Clash of the Titans

Loved the old one, even though it's cheesy. This was just bad: bad story, bad characters, good effects though. I could not have cared less about any of them. The only character worth a darn was Io. Perseus, Andromeda, Zeus, Hades... keep 'em. I guess I shouldn't expect much from an action/adventure movie, but it would have been nice if I would have cared if any of them lived or died (other than Io).

They could have done a better job creating conflict between Zeus and Hades, or shown more reason for Perseus to want to be "a man" and not "a god"? Or done more to develop the love story? An awkward moment in a boat on the River Styx a romance does not make.

They just had a bunch of little story lines that never seemed to ever work or go anywhere. Instead of doing one story line well, they did a bunch badly.

Netflixed Across the Universe and Losers and watched

Losers- not good maybe 2/5 i can careless about all the characters in this movie, Zoe is fine but need more thick on that body of hers imo

Across the Universe- 4/5 love this movie for the songs they sang on this movie, classic Beatles songs, and they all sang it really good, excellent PQ/AQ.

Boys Don't Cry - 4.25/5

A well done film. Hillary Swank was great and I think this role put her on the map.

The Road - 4.75/5

Excellent film. I didn't give it a 5/5 because I didn't love it, but it's a great film. My rating might improve upon a second viewing.

Viggo and Kodi were great. Highly recommend this one.

A movie I want once it drops to about $10, always on the lookout for more Charlize in HD.

I gave it a 5/5 but I believe that was before I went to .25 ratings, it'll probably get a 4.75/5 from my new ratings.

You might be disappointed then, because she's only in it for about 5 - 10 minutes total probably.

Makes me wonder why she's on the cover but that means I probably won't be getting that one. Whew, glad I didn't blind buy it all those times I almost got it.

I would definitely recommend at least renting it (as would most here I'm sure). It's a great movie with a great performance by Mortensen.

Would it help if I just remembered another part with her in it, meanings she's more likely in 10-15 minutes?

I like Mortensen but honestly it sounds like a VERY slow movie and I already have a lot of those. Trying to minimize the number of movies I own that I don't feel like randomly watching at any time.

If you are looking for action packed....this definitely isn't that. Not at all.

That's why I recommend a rent and not a buy.

It was a great rental for me...but I would never buy it. It's not, in my opinion, the kind of movie you watch over and over.

It's in my "One and Done" collection of movies with things like Braveheart and There Will Be Blood*.
