1 of 2 new improvements to my Home Theater , I will build #2 next week .

Should I stain them like I did the subs & speakers or should I do them in clear like I have the ex~center speaker stand ???????????

Also a new sub riser

You did a great job on that, it really flows with the room. I think they would look great stained like the speakers/subs.

I vote putting a clear on as I like the look with having a different contrast. It breaks it up better, IMO.

I would also like a little more build detail please

Thanks for the input . I am leaning towards the clear finish like the stand next to it in the first Pic , Not sure yet though . I will wait for everyone's input

What would be build detail

It is 3/4 inch MDF with Mozambique veneer applied . Had to make it at work because of some of the angle cuts I needed to make . Just took measurements here & went from that in building it .

Do you have any pics of the frame before applying the veneer? Also, I like the color just the way it is. To me it breaks up the room.

No on the pics because the battery on my camera was charging ~ Sorry !

I couldn't wait to put the veneer on so I did it as soon as I got home

You like it raw & unfinished like it is now ? That is always a possibility , I would just have to sand it to smooth it out .

I really like the clear finish I did on the old center stand though .

Don't get me wrong as I like it too. The reason I like the raw look is because it wont look so mono toned in your room as it will break it up.

I have yet to figure it out either

We are going Sunday to look at furniture. This is the deciding factor on which wall I will use. My wife will be gone tomorrow afternoon and I will take a look at another furniture store. I want to get rolling on this but have to figure the seating first. I took off next Thur and Fri to work on the room.

So you may have the new chairs picked out before the wife even knows

When I get something I put it in play right then & there ~ hence putting the veneer on as soon as I got home from work , Just can't help it
