That game about sums up him Yeah he has a little razz but can't grind with the big boys.
He had 13 carries that game. You expect him to get over 100 yards rushing on that?

I suppose you also think it was Bush's fault USC gave up 556 yards of offense to Texas. Afterall Bush should have played defense too!

Vince Young was just too good for the Trojans' defense. Oh and touche on Frazier but then I've never been the biggest fan of college football, I blame the BCS and the suckage of Minnesota for that.

Ya, and I'd probably say that 1995 Nebraska team is the greatest college team at least of my lifetime and probably all-time. Check out their margins of victory against top-10 ranked teams that season. The closest any team came to beating them that year was 14 points.

I can't believe it's been that long since the Cornhuskers had a dominant team in college football, wow.

Yes, they won the national championship in 1994, 1995 and 1997, 3 of Coach Osbourne's final 4 seasons at Nebraska. They had good teams after he retired, until around 2000 before they really went into a tailspin. Though I do strongly believe they finally have a very good coach in Pellini. They finally seem to be on the right track. Not sure what effect the Big 10 wil have on the program though.

Bleh nice drive by USC continues after juggling catch by the Trojans, followed by a missed tackle. Come on defense!

The Gators offense absolutely sucks this year. Just 7 points on 94 total yards at halftime against a sorry Tennessee team. Florida is going to get destroyed October 2nd in Tuscaloosa.

Minnesota with their second interception of the day as our defensive back timed the route jump perfectly, that pass had no business being thrown.

I'm really eager to see the Notre Dame/Michigan State game tonight, my wife is a huge Fighting Irish fan so I have to watch it by default. We'll see how good of a coach Brian Kelly is because Notre Dame doesn't match up well against a very solid Spartan team. I'm sure once Kelly gets his style players it'll be a different story, but I really don't see Notre Dame winning tonight. (Don't tell that to my wife though!)

You might be the good luck charm they needed to get going 14 un answered

Eddie Lacy doing work now 31 yard run for the RS freshman...

Fumble for Lacy he'll need to fix that if he wants to see the field

The same reason Penn State plays Youngstown State, to pad the win category.

Wins against sub-D1 schools should not count as a victory ranking-wise. That's like NFL teams getting credit for a regular season victory over a College or sem-pro team. The point spread for that Oregon vs. Portland St. game was something like 52 points last I looked today. I'll bet they beat the spread too.

The Florida Gators are notorious for that stuff. I heard on the radio the other day that the last time the Gators played a non-conference game outside the state of Florida was like 15 years ago.

It's not just to pad stats either. These huge programs like UF schedule non-conference games at home against crap schools just to sellout more games and make more money.

You're right - it should not count towards victory. I wonder how many of Paterno's wins are against bad teams?

Let's go Clemson - Beat Auburn!!!

This nonsense wouldn't happen as often if we had a legit playoff system with 8 or 16 teams. Right now unless you're a crap conference school like Boise St. there is zero incentive for scheduling tough non-conference games. All it does is hurt your chances of going undefeated and winning a national championship. Especially so for school like UF or Alabama who already have a brutal conference play schedule. Boise St. literally begs for one or two non-conference games against top-tier programs every year but nobody will even play them.

Getting back to the Top 25? When was the last time Kentucky was actually in the football top 25? The last time Kentucky fielded good college football teams was in the 1940's-50's under Bear Bryant. And ironically my uncle played for Kentucky in those years.

Kentucky had good teams when Tim Couch was their quarterback, but under Rich Brooks they always had a respectable team. They're been going bowling for the last couple years if my memory serves me correct. I have been wondering since the season started how they would do under Joker Phillips, so far so good it appears.

Sheesh... Oregon's first three games.

d. New Mexico 72-0
d. Tennessee 48-13
leading Portland St. 69-0 in the 4th quarter

So far today they have 52 carries for 473 yards. A total of 628 yards of offense.

We got up to 8 in the nation in 07.

We are looking pretty good this year. Not a high rank, but I think we will get into Top 25, 15-25, somewhere around that mark.
