I don't know if it's a recent phenomenon though. After Sarah Lane left to pursue other projects, the show never felt quite the same to me, made worse by the addition of Munn as her replacement. She has no geek cred with me (largely because she is not as tech savvy as Sarah was), and her mannerisms are extremely unappealing. In my case, I didn't like her from day one, and my contempt worsened with every following episode.
