I'm pretty nervous for the Miami game tonight, we have to get this one after we literally gave the game away to Ohio State two weeks ago. We can't afford to go 1-2 - Let's go boys!

Why would you be worried? You do realize Dave Wannstedt coaches Pitt, right? He's a terrible coach.

I'm curious if Dave Wannstedt is on any sort of hot seat. First off his career record is a very mediocre 36-28 and he took over a team coming off a BCS bowl appearance. In his 5 seasons at Pitt he's only made 2 bowls, going 1-1. This year Pitt had it's highest expectations in years with legitimate BCS bowl hopes but at 1-2 that chance is very slim. In addition his team has had serious discipline issues lately. Since July they've had 4 players involved in off-field issues, including 3 this month. They dismissed a player yesterday after an incident Wednesday, they had a running back get a DUI after a hit-and-run that sent a pedestrian to the hospital (with a teammate in the car with him), and they had a lineman get arrested for aggravated assault. Starting defensive end Jabaal Sheard was charged with a felony after throwing a person through a glass door but it was reduced to a misdemeanor after Sheard agreed to pay all medical and court costs and Sheard didn't miss any games. I know Pitt is coming off a good season and Wannstedt got a contract extension earlier this year but a poor season combined with the player's actions could put Wannstedt's job in jeopardy.

Edit: The player who got kicked off the team yesterday, Jeff Knox Jr., was charged with assault for slapping and chocking his girlfriend after she told him she was pregnant.

Wannstedt just sucks as a head coach. He was a disaster for the Chicago Bears, did a poor job coaching the Dolphins and now he sucks coaching Pitt. Look, I'm not expecting Pitt to return to their glory days of the 1970's-80's when they won a national title with Tony Dorsett and had great years with Dan Marino at QB. But there's no excuse for Pitt not at least being a top-tier Big East team. They should have fired that bum years ago.

Considering how weak the Big East has become has to apply added pressure. If Pittsburgh finishes any worst than second in the conference, the season would have to be a major disappointment. With all the talent that comes out of western Pennsylvania, there is no excuse for Pittsburgh. Speaking of which the Big East needs to do something to get stronger. I know South Florida is a program that has a very bright future, but overall it has become a weak football conference. They need to beef up their conference besides the Villanova invite. I don't even know if Villanova if expected to accept the invite or not, but invite schools like Southern Miss, East Carolina, or Navy. I doubt Navy would be interested, but it doesn't hurt to ask. They have to do something before the Big Ten decides to start expanding again.

Denard Robinson has a knee injury, I really hope for Michigan's sake it is nothing serious. He was well on his way to having one of those magical seasons that makes football the great sport that it is.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson left the Wolverines' game against Bowling Green after being injured.

Robinson was hit near the sideline at the end of a 47-yard run Saturday for the 21st-ranked Wolverines. He appeared to be having his left knee evaluated on the sideline behind the Wolverines' bench.

Robinson ran for 129 yards and two touchdowns on five carries and was 4 for 4 for 60 yards on two drives plus one play.

He was replaced by Devin Gardner on Michigan's third possession against
Bowling Green and the freshman threw a touchdown pass to put Michigan up 21-0.

Robinson threw for 671 yards and four TDs and ran for 559 yards and four TDs in the first three games against Connecticut, Notre Dame and Massachusetts.

This Michigan team always seems to rack up insane amounts of total yards but they don't rack up the points to show for it. They have 427 yards today at halftime yet only lead Bowling Green St. 28-14.

Against Notre Dame a few weeks ago they had 532 yards of offense and only scored 28 points. No very good execution.

I think it's going to be interesting when they get to the tough part of their schedule. Their defense has to be a major concern for Wolverine fans, although with that offense they should win at least 9 games this season. The question is whether it'll be enough to keep Rodriguez his job.

Psh I'd never jump the ship on my own college (they won 2 games last year)

Alabama was actually the first college graduation I went to for one of my cousins.

More importantly I would hate to have a gross NC game like OSU/Boise or Boise/ TCU!!! TALK ABOUT YUCK!

You leave Boise State alone! Us WAC fans out here are happy we finally have a team in our conference we can be moderately proud of, even if they are being shipped off to another conference next year and then nobody will talk about us any more.
