Yeah, that's something I always had trouble understanding too. I'm not sure if it was confirmed that was MIB, but I assumed it was just Locke hallucinating because of his bleeding.

thePheonix,
[Show spoiler]MIB could only take the form of people that was dead. Walt was still alive when Locke seen him while He was in the pit. I think it was a vision sent by the Island to keep him from killing himself. The Island had plans for him.

@Thephoenix,
[Show spoiler]I'm pretty confident that Walt was showing up from the future. After the epilogue where Hurley and Ben bring Walt to the island I'm pretty sure he was told he needs to help Locke out of the pit.

I like this idea. But the age thing kind of gets in the way, just a bit.

O_O, since when can Walt do that?

Well The Others asked Michael if Walt
[Show spoiler]had "ever been somewhere he wasn't supposed to be?"

I thought it had been established somewhere along the lines that
[Show spoiler]Walt had the ability to transfer himself to other places. Such as when he showed up in the jungle dripping wet, when he showed up to Locke in the body pit, etc.

Well the cool thing is that he looked like he did in the epilogue when he got Locke from the pit. He also acted the exact same. Really seems like him from that time.

He was just taller from what I remember, and that was due to the camera angle via The Pit. Even when Sawyer was trying to find out what Locke meant, he mentioned "giant", lol. Either way though, kind of a cool hint at what was to come.

I went to order season 6 on Amazon and apparently there is a Collector's Edition of it with a bonus disc. Seems kinda fishy as it's only offered in the Amazon Marketplace for $125 and I've not heard of this anywhere. Anyone know anything about this? Here's the link:

Seems like it's a re-packaged BB exclusive. I'm sure the bonus disc is the same.

Best Buy had an exclusive Blu-ray set for season six with a DVD containing all of the bonus material from the complete Blu-ray set. A few copies still exist at Best Buy among the regular releases. No need to buy it at inflated pricing off Amazon.

I stopped watching Lost after the Pilot for some reason and caught random episode along the years, but didn't understand after one or two so I quit lol.

So I finally started watching my Lost" The Complete Collection blu-ray around last Tuesday and I am already on episode 34. Holy shizz I LOVE THIS SHOW! I am super pissed at myself for quitting so early.... Seriously I'm addicted and engrossed in the story. I tell myself, I have to go to bed so let me finish this episode and then they leave you with a cliffhanger or something you haven't seen yet that you were anticipating, but they didn't get to it yet which takes you to a position where you just cannot help yourself from going to the next episode. EPICNESSS....!

One thing awesome about not seeing the episodes before is watching them continuously and witness awesome episodes nonstop. No week waits, or season/year breaks; just me and the blu-rays. It's such an awesome way to watch one of the best shows of all-time.

Lost: The Complete Collection Blu-ray is the best blind buy I've ever made!

The long waits and multiple hiatus the show had always drew me out of it. Never seen an episode more than once so if/when I do decide to go back with the series collection it'll be nice to not have all that bullshit to deal with. That's one pricey blind buy though even on a BF price for $120, that's nuts.

glad you're falling in love with the show.
it instantly became my favorite show of all time simply after the pilot episode because if the rest of the series was as genius as that, then i knew it was all gonna be incredible, and it was / is. it goes places you cannot imagine. mind blowing stuff really on every level: directing, acting, story, score, cinematography... everything. great stuff

to the bolded part: EXACTLY! i watched season 3-6 week to week on tv and it drove me nuts. there was a huge break after episode 7 of season 3 for about 2 months and i was in panic mode. and i think watching it that ways makes some people hate the series / show because "it isn't giving answers" but when watching it with no wait, those "bad" episodes aren't bad because you don't have to wait.

as long as you keep an open mind and don't expect solid, factual answers (that's about 5% of the glorious LOST Encyclopedia is for but not every answer is there by the way, just a great book about the show containing EVERYTHING) then you'll continue to love the series.

and once it's done, realize how far the show has come and you'll definitely go "whoa..." because during season 1 you never would envision where the show would go. hell, during season 5 you wouldn't imagine where the writers take the show!

I personally enjoyed watching the show as it aired with the week waits between episodes and months between seasons. It gave me time to come up with my own theories, read about others, listen to podcasts, etc. This show had a great community that was just as amazing to experience as the show itself.

It makes me think, most of the people that dislike the finale season/episode, I bet most of them would of enjoyed it if they didnt have to wait inbetween seasons/episodes.

I have a friend who enjoyed seasons 1-5 on DVD, then hated season 6 and now believes it was all a waste of time. He said "Nothing was happening" in the first half of season 6, but if you think about it way more was "happening" than in say the beginning of season 2 and 3 but he enjoyed them 2 just fine.

I feel positive if he watched seasons 2 and 3 week to week he would have disliked them.

Its a shame to think that most of the haters are people like him and if they just watched without stopping they would liked or even loved it.

I don't think that I would have. I wasn't crazy about seasons two and three, but I liked them both significantly better than season six. It just seemed like one big gimmick in order to get all of the well-liked characters back together in a way that all of the mass audience people who never really cared about it would like it, but the die-hard fans who watched all five previous seasons probably multiple times before season six started would probably not.

I'm not one of the people who wanted lots of answers. I don't care about that. But if the writers know it is the final season, I at least expect a well thought out season that doesn't feel so rushed and contain so many stupid ideas. The temple that that became irrelevant halfway through the season, the fact that while Jacob was having his little jolly conversation around the campfire not a SINGLE PERSON asked any of the thousands of questions that should have been important to them, how the "alternate-reality" was just so the characters could 'find each other'...

Sorry for this rant, but the finale kind of pissed me off. Its not consistent with what the first five seasons were, and I really kind of doubt that it is what the writers had in mind. I wouldn't be surprised if some network executives pressured them into giving the show an upbeat, "please the mass audience" type of ending, rather than the mysterious conclusion they probably had in mind.

I seriously doubt that. I had few month break after watching S1-S5 till S6, and S6 was as stupid as it gets. If anything, a longer delay would be more beneficial, may be some would loose interest, or miss S6 altogether.

Not answering so many questions, and giving ultra lame, or utterly dumb explanations was not gonna be helped by reduced delays.
