definitive proof that hd dvd bitrates are crippling blu-ray

I did catch a few small bursts of artifacting, but I likely would have missed each instance if I hadn't specifically been looking for it. In fact, the only real nitpick I have with the picture quality of 'Ocean's Eleven' is that quick pinpoints of white randomly flick on the print throughout the film. Still, compared to the muddy standard DVD, this Blu-ray edition is an absolute godsend. Fans will be extremely pleased to see how great 'Ocean's Eleven' looks in high definition.

no lpcm or thd or high res audio? this was part of the reason why poeple boy coted paramount titels


then i read the pirates 3 review and i accept that he gave the movie 4 out of 5 and hes the reason why

Unfortunately, I don't feel I can give 'At World's End' the same five-star video rating I gave 'Curse of the Black Pearl' and 'Dead Man's Chest,' because I found a few inconsistencies a bit too hard to ignore. Noise is the biggest problem -- I noticed it at times on fleshtones, as well as areas of static color. Even more troublesome, it can be glaringly obvious on areas of bright white, such as the entire surreal sequence with Depp playing multiple versions of Captain Jack Sparrow. Blacks also waver, with a few scenes looking quite flat and lacking in depth. Although these are not fatal problems considering the beauty of the rest of the presentation, 'At World's End' left me only very satisfied, and not blown away as I was with the first two 'Pirates' flicks on Blu-ray.

i think he should start doing doubel blind tests when reviewing hes movies (for warner movies he dosent know which format it is on then for other movie not to know which codecs are used)
