Default Australia is 5-to-1 Blu! (with detailed data)

A story on the Sydney Morning Herald is giving us a detailed look at Australia, where Blu-ray is outselling HD DVD 5.6 to 1. Here's some numbers:

Stand-alone only players sold:
Blu-ray: 2241
HD DVD: 609

Game consoles and add-ons:
PS3: over 100,000 units sold
X360 HD DVD add-on: 2461 units sold

Discs sold since inception:
Blu-ray: more than 102,000
HD DVD: less than 18,000

A very funny read -- especially the part where Paramount released the HD DVD of Transformers four weeks after the DVD, and therefore blew most of their potential sales.
