I do, but with the current state of 3D and the randomness of it, I am unsure if I want to support it by buying the 3D edition.

if I don't. I assume most releases will allow 2D playback also or have an extra 2D disc like Disney did for A Christmas Carol so I won't lose out on anything by getting those. Some releases are going to remove some special features from it to fit the 3D version like Piranha 3D, so I probably don't want to get those kind yet. I like the idea of futureproofing, but I don't really think you can ever be future proof and I also don't want to start paying even more for every new release. I will feel like a jerk if I miss out on a bunch of awesome slipcovers by not buying these though.

It was bad enough that we are back to having 2 skus for most new releases, but now we will probably get single disc blu, combo pack blu, 3D combo pack blu version. And that's not even counting later rereleases to choose from.

A Christmas Carol may be one of the nicest slips I've ever seen. Picked the last in mint condition one up at BB a few minutrs ago. FORGOT to use my $10 coupon!

I need to go back out later tonight and look for Kitty Galore 3D. Picked up the 2d version by mistake!

okay so i just got back from BB and kinda disappointed that the only BD Essentials they had was Spiderman 1 and 2.. which sucked because i wanted to purchase Black Hawk Down, hopefully next Tuesday, they will put out more.. anybody see any other titles other then Spiderman 1, 2

for anyone else who got a christmas carol 3d at best buy...does peeling off the best buy price sticker leave residue on the lenticular slip?

yea it doesn't make sense, Sony did these essentials to make more money for the holidays and they only have 2 titles out? weird.. plus my BB only had 1 Black Hawk Down copy left

If you guys saw my pickups today you'd probably fall right off your chair. I'm going out looking for Kitty Galore 3D, when I come back I'll post today's pickups. I have 11 of the Sonys delivered today via Amazon, Ghost Rider has not shipped yet though.

Iwas also in target and they did not have any either. And sadly almost all of the movies dont have slips on them

One of my favorite pickups of the day...Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol!

It comes in a very solid, sturdy slipbox. The two discs are housed in a nice digipak. There is also a 16 page booklet and a faux-autographed film cell. Best $14.99 I've ever spent!
