some people have stated that the Twilight films come out on Fridays or Saturdays because the audience for those films is younger, so they'd have school the next day (wednesdays) so they wouldn't be able to stay out till midnight to get it.

ridiculous? i think so lol but i'm sure the studios make a boatload of money by doing it this way.

kind of surprised the Harry Potter's don't as well since a lot of those fans have school the next day too though...

i have no idea why The Town drops on a Friday though. they could have released it this coming tuesday (the 21st) to still make the "pre-christmas" sales
