Will We Ever Get To See................?

There are all these reports of the standard-def DVD market bottoming out with predictions of a 3% or more drop in sales next year. A saturation point is being reached - there is a limit to the amount of double and triple dipping a studio can do with a given title. So, the studios want to see Hi-Def succeed (hopefully, Blu-Ray) allowing them to sell hi-def versions of movies again and again. But, what happens to titles they never even released in standard def? The following are five examples of films that have never been released on DVD: The Anderson Tapes (Sean Connery), A Gathering Of Eagles (Rock Hudson, Rod Taylor), Night Watch and Ash Wednesday (both Liz Raylor) and George White's Scandals (an oldie with Joan Davis). If, during the next few years, Blu-Ray releases become highly profitable for the studios, will we just see Blu versions of titles already out in SD or do you think they will go for the "unseen yet" titles also? Or, will we simply never see these and other titles in any format?
