BigFlix partners with Sony Pictures - Blu-ray Forum

Bigflix, India's Largest DVD Library has allied with Sony Pictures to provide an exciting offering to its customers. The blockbuster hit of the year 2010 – THE SOCIAL NETWORK will hit the Home DVD scene on 25th January 2011 and through this partnership, the subscribers of Bigflix can rent the movie on the same day itself!

Subscribers of BIGFlix require to pre-book this DVD and it will be delivered to them on January 25th. Non-subscribers need to sign-up and then add THE SOCIAL NETWORK to their Rental Queue along with their other favorite DVDs.

Bigflix is also running social activities on social networking site to promote this one-of-a-kind experience. Fans that are subscribers have to take part in activities revolving around THE SOCIAL NETWORK that can win them goodies. These activities via BIGFlix’s Social Media Initiative will run until Jan 26th, a day after the release, when subscribers who enjoyed the DVD will be encouraged to write a review as part of this initiative.

Commenting on this tie-up, Pankaj Chandra, Business Head, Bigflix, said, “We are delighted to partner with Sony Pictures and offer 2010’s most critically acclaimed film to our subscribers on the same day of its Home DVD launch.
