I think you will hear a difference, not sure how you are running your setup with the analog connections but I think most receivers/processors bypass the DSP's internally with the 7.1 analog in which means you have no room correction and are left with doing bass management on your BD player.

You will have a more advanced bass management and room correction system with your upgrade so I think you will have a good improvement in sound. Enjoy it.
