Italy

This is the first time I had a Criterion-related dream. I definitely woke up (in my dream), only to go to my computer (at 6:00 am) to check Criterion's announcements. They were posted super early, and I don't remember any of the titles except for Kuroneko.

I don't think we're getting that this month with all of the other current titles that have popped up on CC's page...

Anyone else get this?

Edit: Just realized it says "estimate this item will be released on 4/12/11" so maybe it is a stock issue. Confusing way to say it if that is the case, in my opinion.

I received this too...... and I have a question for you.... I was purchasing something on Amazon this morning, and found a $10 Promo-credit that I didn't know I had.... I went to my email, had this email about Topsy-Turvy (the only Criterion title I have on order with them right now, because it's the only one I forgot to order during Criterion's sale) but it mentions nothing of giving me a $10 promo.... Do you have any promo-$$ on your account????

Amazon is odd about giving $5 or $10 promo-discounts and never even telling you!!!!!

EDIT:

And yes Italy, I can count... I was merely referring to the shapes/colors they chose to use.... but I agree that the cover wouldn't fit with the story, and the similarities to the Seven Samurai would be awkward at the least.

lol, I figured...and no, I did not receive a promo credit for either of my emails regarding the "release dates" for The Mikado or Topsy Turvy.

Oh well, looks like you got lucky...AGAIN!!

This seems to be the page for the
[Show spoiler]Malle
films coming out. You can link to the other from here. Good news from a great director.

As for the cover 'haters', I think they both look great!!

Links removed...

So much for spoiler alerts people! Is it so hard to use spoiler alert markers. If you can't use them then I would suggest not posting.

Man the Criterion website is driving me nuts today. It won't let me sort the BLUs by the spine # at all and the loading of the page isn't as easy as the old site version. At first I loved the new site etc... now not so much. They still won't actually give a simple OOP list.

I'm on a Mac...but now neither works for me. They seem to be going back and forth, maybe as they update information.

My sister-in-law just had twin boys about 9 hours ago.... I think I'll give her my Salo DVD as a "congratulations" gift...... (see.... I kept it Criterion related)

Well, it's true that a lot of women develop hemmorhoids when giving birth to children. Just saying.

I would've loved to have not known yet haha I guess it is just good to avoid this thread until their Coming Soon page is ready.

I find it odd that Criterion is just "throwing them out there" this time.... very strange.... and it all started with the "Black Moon" cover-reveal that came early... so we knew the title, and cover (not that it matters) very early.

This could be a sign of times of change though.... I mean, Jedi hasn't even asked "What makes 12 Angry Men important" yet

Well, it now appears that Criterion has taken down the films that were listed on all of the Explore pages.
