The sticker underneath my 40gb system reads "220 - 240 V ~ 1.7A". Far as i know the US model uses less electricity- under a picture i saw a while ago and naturally iv'e forgotten that link with the US picture, let me know what the sticker reads for the US model.
The 40gb was released in Europe and Australia first and all the talk of 65nm came just before the US release, nothing was mentioned for the Europe and Australia system at least before the US release.
