Default really general audio question
with all this lossy lossless dolbt dts truehd 5.1 7.1 pcm etc etc etc.....

break this down for a total audio noob.....what do i want? what do i wanna make sure i can use? and most important what just sounds good.....

i mean can you really tell the differance in these by ear? or just when you have a computer telling you what its doing?

also are these on the disc side of things or the receiver side of things.....

no tech jargon please
