Boooo. I am slightly interested though. I'll be curious to hear about sound quality, etc. closer to when it releases.

I have a Turtle Beach USB Headset, works great, over a year old. I can hear everything and people always remark on how well they can hear me. I'd be curious what the audiophiles of head-fi.org will think of the sound quality though. My Turtle Beach has simulated surround. It adds a lot of hiss, but does seem like a wider soundstage.

I've had my headset for about 15 months and I think that's happened twice. And it was after a few days of long BC2 sessions. I think you exaggerate how often that happens. Yes, it does, but it's not daily, or even weekly for that matter.
Unless you're 14 years old playing black ops 16 hours a day.

Some people don't like cables going across their room. I had a wired headset for awhile and I hated having the cable across the room, in my lap or over my chair. It just bugs me. For a headset, I'd rather have wireless/bluetooth.
