Studio Canal will release on Blu-ray Jean-Paul Rappeneau's (Cyrano de Bergerac, The Horseman on the Roof) Le sauvage a.k.a Call Me Savage (1975), starring Yves Montand (The Wages of Fear), Catherine Deneuve (Belle de jour), and Luigi Vannucchi (The Assassination of Trotsky). The film tells the story of a beautiful young woman who follows a stranger to his private island and then takes over his life. Street date is September 27th.

In the U.S., Le sauvage is currently available on SDVD as part of the Catherine Deneuve 5-Film Collection, which Lionsgate Films released in 2008.
