Default Criteria For Your Collection

Not sure if there has already been a similar discussion (tried searching but couldn't find anything), but just wondering: when you guys purchase Blu-Rays, do you have any sort of criteria?

My plan is to only buy Blu-Rays that are personal favorites of mine (Star Wars, Lion King, North by Northwest, etc.). I have a pretty impressive DVD collection, but a lot of them were purchased just because I felt the need to buy them, especially if I had seen it in theaters (bad habit). I'm gonna try and sell all unnecessary films to fund my Blu-Ray collection. And as far as replacing DVDs go, I'll only do so if there is a major difference between the DVD and Blu-Ray (such as Apocalypse Now). If not, I'll wait till I have more money in the bank.

Plus, it helps that I live in an apartment w/ a bunch of others guys. And together our movie collections (whether they be DVD or Blu-Ray) are quite extensive. So I don't feel the added pressure to get certain films right away if I myself don't already own it. Allows me to save up and purchase other favorites.
