The complete saga will ultimtely fall below it's RRP, but no-where near that price, as much as I would like it to.
I think I saw somewhere the RRP was £89.99. Which is expensive. I may have to wait for the set to come down in price, which will mean avoiding eye-contact of all things Star Wars for a few months which may be quite difficult!

Otherwise I'll be pulled towards it like the Millennium Falcon caught in the Death Star's tractor-beam....

Same here. After my next 3 steelbooks coming (Thor, Green Lantern, X-Men: First Class), i'll have to take a break from blu-ray purchasing for a while, at least until the complete saga comes down in price.

Also, I see what you did there with the £11.38 price.

I'm with you lot on the cutting back!

I've had to cancel about 10 releases between now and sep 12th thanks to an unexpected bill arriving

But I've already broken my vow by buying 2012 steelbook on ebay. I still don't own the film yet and I got it for £13 delivered :/ I just hope I end up with enough left come september

I hope you bought 2012 for the steelbook and the eye melting CGI, and not for the story, of which doesn't exist.

It's too bad that we all don't live closer to each other as we could all chip in on new releases and share them between ourselves. But then again, we'd probably all kill each other just to have the new releases in whoevers collection for good.

Consumerism is a nasty disease.

It would be like that episode of The Simpsons when they buy the 1st issue of Radioactive Man in "Three Men and a Comic Book...."

Ah. Another Simpsons classics fan.

But yes, it would be like that. Except with us, it would be called "Three Men And Star Wars on Blu-ray".

Wow. I apologise. I kind of went off on a tangent tonight on these forums.

I bet you a signed gold DVD boxset, that Lucas is deliberately holding the original versions of the original trilogy back for the next inevitable blu-ray Star Wars release!

Come on. We all know that Lucas has another Star Wars blu-ray set in the pipeline. It's his style to constantly re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-release Star Wars every few years!

I bought mine from Sainsburys before they put another version on there which includes the film cell but i got mine for £54 so theres no way im cancelling and paying nearly an extra £20 for a piece of card.Got to admit i feel like ive been fiddled though.

I wouldn't mind a re-issue/release of A New Hope. But there's little hope of individual releases it will be another boxset. Which will work out cheaper than buying three separate films but I think the fans only really want Episode IV they can live with the others for the time being.

Although Sebastian Shaw should be put back in Jedi.

I think they are the only on-line retailer that are charging a premium for the senitype, maybe they'll see sense and include it with all orders.

Hey there, I know I pre-ordered for this price too then they started selling the other. I've emailed them twice now about it but no reply. Will email them again tomorrow (before I go on holiday) and hope for a reply by the time I get back! Disappointed by the fact they seem to be ignoring my emails, the first I sent over a week ago.

I don't mind if I don't get the cell because £54 for 6 films (that I desperately want more than anything) is a bargain .

Hey, I know I don't work for them but I'd be pretty confident that you will still get the cell. I'm pretty sure all the warehouses for online retailers will be getting deliveries of the cell. It would be pretty lousy of them to go to the troubl of actually finding all the orders of people who ordered at the lower price and then removing the cell before delivery. So I think you both wil still get the cell

.

I've got a question, what order will you watch the films in? (and why).

Also I've actually never seen Episode 2 (). So would people recommend that I watch it 4-6 then 1-3 or 1-3, 4-6? .

I will be watching 1-6 myself. I know there will be a lot of fans going 4-6 1-3(if they watch them at all )

I'm just glad to have them on BD and watching 1-3 first will whet my appetite for 4-6

I feel like I need to build up to the climax rather than blow it all straight away.

I giggled at the last line of this *is immature*.

And I think I'll go 1-6 too, IIRC I think George himself said somewhere that he intends people to watch them 1-6? (though thinking about this now it could just be a way to try to get people to watch 1-3!).

Either way I enjoyed Episode 3 at least (don't really remember 1) so cannot wait .

Haha, I couldnt find any other words to get across my way of thinking

I think if it's someones first time watching, it should be 4-6 first. You wouldn't get to experiance the surprise in Empire when we learn that Darth is
[Show spoiler]Lukes father!
(Spoilers just incase anyone reading has never seen the saga! Wouldn't want to be like Homer and blurt out the best twist in a film ever )
