They might be starting with rentals, but they will without a doubt be offering the same items for sale. Why go through all that effort to promote a problem if sales isn't part of the way ahead for the product?

Or is it so that people can watch a video from youtube filmed with the 1.3 megapixel cell phone video camera by a high 16 year old at a party? I bet that would look great on a 42" TV.

Seriously, cable and satellite have been offering HD movies PPV for a while now, and you don't have to buy a 40 or 120gig device from apple to do it.

And I still say that anyone who thinks this is rental only and was always intended to stay rental only, has drunk the apple kool-aide or is incredibly naive.
