is the trailer misrepresentative of the final film - yes. But did the filmmakers dumb it down to the kid factor - nope. One youngster at the screening I saw was in tears at one of the deaths of the animals - calling them wussies is mean and unfair, yes some of the scenes are honest in what has happened and I think that parents might really have to a discussion on what's being protrayed on and off screen. The original French theatrical version of 'March of the Penguins' featured some more harrowing scenes that was edited out of the US version. Even 'Oceans' was edited for US/Canada theatrical/home video release. |
