Good news: 10$ off a Disney pre-order is pretty sweet, and .ca does this less often than .com

Bad news: It only applies to the 3-disc pack with arguably useless DVD, which is $4 more than the 2-disc

You mean the arguably useless Digital Copy disk--They both have the DVD.

I've got no problem with a deal-specific thread, that's what the forum is for. I know some regulars here would rather there only be 5 threads in total, one for each Canadian retailer, but that's not good, so don't take it seriously if they attack you.

Just pre-ordered just in case. Might cancel closer to the due date depending on prices everywhere else.

Although I've been disappointed with DMR coupons being $5 lately and Canadian retailers having crappy prices.

And yes, what a let down we have to fork over $4 more for a useless digital copy/coaster.

No, dmr coupons are for in-store, and obviously amazon doesn't do in-store.

$26.99 is overpriced then i think... im pretty sure there will be a mistake in some store's flyer and we can find it for a much cheaper price on FEB 7

The $10 dumbo was not legitimate.

My advice is order it now. The release is 4 months away and your final price can only go down due to amazon pre-order guarantee. If better deals come along you can always cancel. I'm thinking it will level out around $28 minus the $10 coupon.

Thanks! Pre-ordered. Even if it hits $24.99 - a $5 in-store coupon, hopefully Amz will have it at the same price, minus the $10 coupon!

Nope! The coupons are only good for brick & motar stores... no online offers. This is Amazon's version of a Disney coupon

Agreed, Dumbo was not legitimate as it was due to SCOP. We can't predict Walmart screwing up their prices again.
I also paid $14 in all for Dumbo so I have no clue where $10 comes from.

As I posted earlier, going forward, I think I will lock in these pre-orders and play the waiting game.

Well not exactly... In recent years amazon offers these really early discount coupons, but they expire insanely early, months before the release. Then at release time they'll have discount or coupons in line with the prevailing dmr coupon of the day. From what I've seen, these early bird coupons are as good or better than the relase discount.

The fact that amazon can do hassle free virtual coupons does raise some questions why Disney movie rewards program has to force customers to install that virus of a coupon software, and why they need to exploit your personal info as well. At amazon it's a simple matter of keying a short alphanumeric coupon code with your order. No troublesome software, and no incessant push marketing.

Here's hoping. But who knows, the B&M stores may fixate on the 2 disc SKU and that might be the one that gets deep discounts at release time. Plus these less modern classics don't always get the love or deals that the biggies like Lion King get. It's obvious they'll be pushing this one for valentine's day, spaghetti scene and all.

Same here i remember getting it for around $12 or $14, i just didn't remember exactly how much i paid for it...
but the main point was that some retail store still may make a mistake around the release date.
Anyways i pre-ordered a copy myself from amazon so hopefully they will drop the price soon.

TLK didn't get too many deals that I saw - but then again, I just got the FS Metalpack. So what do I know?

Beauty and the Beast was a great deal when it came out. I'm hoping we get back to that!
