Hi, I'm having a new tv delivered tomorrow. My old one suddenly got a few columns of dead pixels, and as it was still under warranty, Best Buy let me choose a replacement. I went with a 50" Panasonic TC-P50ST30. However, I'm worried about whether or not I can enjoy my new 3D TV with my current home theater setup.
Right now I have a PS3 connected via HDMI 1.3 to a Sony STR-KS2300 receiver. The receiver is connected via HDMI 1.3 to the TV. Will I be able to enjoy the 3D capabilities of my TV with this setup? If not, what would be the cheapest way for me to simultaneously enjoy both 3D picture and HD sound as my theater stands currently. Will I need to upgrade to HDMI 1.4? Will those cables still work with my receiver? Any input would be greatly appreciated, and if more information is needed I can provide that. Thank you guys in advance. |
