Default I waited out most of the DVD generation for Blu-ray... anyone else?

When DVD first started getting popular, HDTVs were already well on the market and you heard rumors of the media formats with HD-DVD and Blu-Ray on the horizon...

For this reason alone, I pretty much waited out on DVDs. I would rent them but wouldn't buy too many because I knew that this superior format was coming out and I could experience quality that rivals (or is better) than most movie theaters.

Now that Blu-Ray provides essentially the pinnacle of quality suitable for home use, I have no reservations with buying movies now, so I've been buying them up like mad. I probably owned less than 20 DVDs and now I own more than twice that on Blu-Ray.
