Default Possible Television Firmware Upgrades
This is probably a dumb question but is it possible to get firmware upgrades from manufacturers on TV's

I have a KDS-R50XBR1 which native res is 1080p however the hdmi can only support 1080i and upconvert to 1080p through cinemotion. Thought maybe Sony had some sort of Firmware upgrade possibility.
