German distributors Concorde Video have revealed that they are planning to release on Blu-ray acclaimed director Roman Polanski's Tess (1979), starring Nastassja Kinski, Leigh Lawson, and Peter Firth. In 1981, the film won three Oscar Awards, including Best Cinematography and Best Best Art Direction-Set Decoration. The preliminary release date set by the distributors is March 15th.
Note: Sony Pictures Home Entertainment controls the distribution rights for the film in the U.S. Its DVD release of Tess is currently out of print.
