Default Mounting my new bi/dipole surrounds

My new speakers look great and are very simple to mount if I do not have my banana plug's connected to them.

As you can see in the picture on the site, the banana plug inserts on the speaker (where I connect my cable) protrudes about 1/2 inch out of the back. This prevents me from mounting the speaker flat onto the wall. I can mount the speaker, but the protruding inserts make the speaker hang a little, and I am worried I am damaging my plugs and back of the speaker.

I have found a solution, and that is to just not use my banana plugs and use the "ghetto" bare wire way. But I would much rather use my banana plugs. I have thought about drilling into the wall to let the banana plug insert into the wall.

Is there any easier way to do this?

Also, if I have to, is there anything wrong with just keeping my speaker flat on the wall and wiring it without the banana plug?

Kind of a terrible picture, but hopefully you can get an idea of my issue.
