Much more excited about the would-be titles from this list than the ones just announced for pre-order today. I'd pay MSRP for the titles I've bolded including Mulholland Drive provided the extras, which would be a blu double-dip.

Lets just hope these come to past. Just brought out my Double Indemnity Legacy DVD to shine off. And I can't wait to finally upgrade my non-anamorphic Vertigo DVD.

I doubt a domestic release of Touch of Evil will top the Moc version, though, so I could pass on that.

Iam in for a few of the 1st bunch of releases. But thats only cause I havnt gotten them yet. So bonus for me since I held off so long. But I definitely agree thats its not a monumental list of releases that you would think a 100th year anniversary would call for. I know if they would release Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolfman, and Creature from the Black Lagoon is custom digibook packaging, those would fly of the shelves. Hopefully, we see these before year end.

Haha, I don't mind them, but if they look as ugly as the art indicates, I will be tossing them for sure.

Well that's good news that Out Of Africa is getting a better release, but I would hope they'd have the decency to offer some sort of exchange program.

Default slips

If you look at the timeline on the bottom of the waterworld slip it looks like a hint at some of the upcoming releases they will include this year, and it looks like SL mat be one of them

Hey Universal, how about concentrating on releasing new titles instead of double dipping the same crap.

You know they hired George Lucas as their Marketing manager right?

I have 8 Mile and Field of Dreams in my cart (Amazon) down to $14.99 each today (25% off).

Anyone think the price will drop in the next week or so? Or should I just go ahead and take the 25% discount?

Pretty big NEW releases... not everything can be new when they are releasing en masse for a 100 year retrospective.

That's because they're spending too much time double dipping. lol If they were adding new special features, that would be different but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be the same disc as the original release only with a slipcase. Still, stoked about Deer Hunter coming out though.

Of course it'll be the same disc... how many catalog blu-rays do you think they can produce each month? Not that many. At least be realistic. Since double dipping is just making a new slipcover, that has nothing to do with their actual team that produces new blu-rays... so relax, you'll get the same amount of new releases as usual.

Yeah, I was hoping pretty high there. lol I would just rather see new catalog titles coming out instead of re-releases. That's all I'm saying. It's not like they have to wait for an anniversary. They have every year to pump out titles.
