It's an NCAA rule that you can't have more than 25 in a class, right?

I'm fairly sure that's correct, unless they recently increased it. Limit last I checked was 25 per year and 85 total.

This explains how Miami was able to oversign:

Seven Miami Hurricanes football recruits have enrolled early.

UM announced Tuesday that quarterbacks Gray Crow and Preston Dewey, offensive linemen Ereck Flowers and Taylor Gadbois, linebackers Raphael Kirby and Josh Witt and defensive back Ladarius Gunter have started classes and will participate in spring football.

Tuesday marked the first day of classes at UM for the spring semester.

The seven will be a part of UM's 2012 signing class, but all of them will count toward 2011's scholarship limit of 25 because the Hurricanes didn't sign a full class in Coach Al Golden's first year. Golden said last week he expects to sign about 30 players for the 2012 class.

I don't think he got a DUI at Georgia (and of course you know there's no "tradition" about getting DUIs there ), but he should be fired for (1) having a personalized license plate and, (2) having it say "Sauced".

I worshipped him when he was at Georgia -- so much fun to watch -- but he needs to stop being a douchebag.

Their class wasn't all that bad. Ranked 35th nationally. Then again their 2011 class was 43rd nationally and how'd that work out?

I have been lurking on this thread for awhile but haven't posted. I had an idea to get this thread interesting. What is your team that you follow? And what do you predict for next year? Wins, losses, conference title, national title. We should do this now (early Spring after signing day), again during spring ball, and then again at the end of the summer. Something like that.

The defense improves in the first year under Mike Stoops but lays an egg in conference- OU loses a game they shouldn't 42-38. The offenses makes strides in the running game with so many HBs with experience now and with a very experienced QB+OL. Landry Jones wins Big 12 offensive POY but no Heisman.

Yes. He has a history of his defenses doing well against run first teams but struggling vs. The spreads of TTU, Mizzou, etc. Mike Stoops' defenses of the early 2000s were ranked much higher year-in-and-year-out than Venables' recent defenses.

What kind of non conference does U$C have next year? Anyone good. I only expect 2 other Pac 12 schools to be ranked preseason. Oregon and Stanford. Maybe ASU. Big 12 probably wont be too hot either in conference but they have a good non conference SOS.

Non-conference 2012 USC has.

vs. Hawaii
vs. Syracuse (Game in E. Rutherford, NJ)
vs. Notre Dame

Running the table in the Pac-12 should easily get you in the national title game next season. Even a 1-loss USC team probably has some chance if things go right.
