Yeah, I guess so if you like this kind of music. I don't, but for this film, it seemed to at least fit the mood.

Towards the end when he puts on the mask. I leaned forward on my couch cause i was expecting him to go in and start shooting, maybe some slo mo, and that awesome music in the background. Would have been sick! Still was a great scene though.

So I was watching an interview on Sherdog.com and prior to the clip, a quick commercial aired for the US drive release that contained wild "dubstep" crap and all action clips. They're still really trying to push this thing as a mindless action flick over here.

You might not want to, I enjoyed it in high school too and looked back on it recently only to realize that it's kind of bad. It's like a lesser American Beauty.

Not going to lie, I would have loved a more brutal scene like that where he takes the hammer or something so everyday and just kills all the guys while the girls run and panic in slow motion to that song, too. I mean
[Show spoiler]when you show someone get a shotgun blast to their head getting scalp blown off, or a guy literally getting face caved in on itself by brutal stomps to the face
, you kind of would expect more from then on.

Can't tell you how wrong that is of them. I work at a used movie store, and no lie, DVD and Blu-ray combined, just in it's first 6 days of release we must have had about 6-8 copies traded in, all but one people saying it wasn't what they expected; other was just loving it so he wanted the Blu-ray copy, instead.

Wish I had known how much I would like this before its second week of release, will scout around this week and see how much it is at places like Wally World and Hastings.

Blind buy for me. Such an awesome movie. I loved the pacing and the tension.

The acting wasn't exactly the best in the world and the beginning was pretty awkward with the Driver and Irene but later on it made more sense.

I loved the music, cinematography and how the film built up to little climaxes throughout. Every pay off was rewarding.

I can't wait to watch it again.

HMV replied to my e-mail about my steelbook not closing properly. Maybe it is me being a bit picky, but for paying nearly $30 with shipping, I wanted to at least see what they'd do for me. They offered me a full refund if I sent the item back (but they didn't have any more to give me since they are completely sold out and they said they would never get more again) so they refunded my entire shipping cost which was quite nice.

Thats funny, I feel the opposite way.. I thought the acting was incredible and the first scenes are my favorites Watching it again, my favorite parts of the movie are the first scene and the scenes in the first half involving Irene, Bernicio and the Driver.. Those quiet moments really get to me - especially after knowing whats gonna happen later..

And I agree with you - the soundtrack is the best in years IMO

You know going back and watching this again, the "lack" of dialogue isn't as big as everyone makes it out to be. The only two who are someone short on dialogue are Driver and Irene together, and it's nothing out of the norm for two people who are incredibly attracted to one another but are having "awkward" moments like that. They say more with their facial reactions than most romantic films pass off with lines and lines of speech. It feels incredibly real.

With that said, Gosling interacts with just about everyone in the movie.
