Thanks Hulk...btw how big is your room? How big is that screen?
My room is tiny, only 10x13x7 and the screen is 106" 16x9 format...
My wife says if I keep adding gear I'll be forced to watch movies through the window...

I got my shipment of Paradigm Studios from Illinois on Thursday!! I received a pair of Studio 100s V.5 and Studio CC-690 v.5 . I still cant believe how MASSIVE the center speaker is!!!!!!!! I will take some pictures of my set up once I have cleaned up the place from all the boxes and inserts laying around.

Unfortunately the setup doesnt look quite as aesthetically pleasing as my previous speakers in place, mostly due to the center speaker being so massive and me having to push an amp off to the side and the center speaker jutting out but the sound has definitely improved which is really all that matters in a dedicated home theater ... aesthetics are secondary in the pursuit of better sound. Of course I have a plan to improve the whole appearance of the room however that will take time, money and some new components (projector, screen, lots of cables) but for now this is prime. Watched Jurassic Park Bluray and when the T-Rex roars he roars just as loud and crispyly in the CC-690 as he does in the Studio 100s. In my Polk set up I had to put the center at +2 db but I had to put it back to +0 db because the center is so capable.

As requested and promised here are some pictures of my new speakers. I didnt take pics of my surrounds. I will tomorrow.

Please excuse the wires on the ground, I will be doing some wire management over the next couple of weeks.

The clarity and seamless sound field from left to right is amazing with such a large center speaker, which is effectively a Studio 100 on its side.

Jurassic Park 1 on Bluray was awesome!

That's cool Man!
I may be buying those as well, along with the Center 3. I'm not positive about the Subwoofer but am thinking the Monitor SUB 10. What sub do you have? What receiver do you have driving the Monitors?
Just interested Bro. I hear sooo much about Paradigm and that's what I want.

Hey, Im running a Pinnacle Audio MB8000 sub and Center Channel. They are certainly the weak points of my system ATM. Im powering everything with a Denon AVR-1610. Not outstanding, but since the Paradigm's are very efficient, it still does a nice job!

Default New setup

I could use some feedback from some knowledgeable people.

I have an opportunity to purchase a set of Studio 100 V3 and a CC690 for a great price. I have a dedicated movie room of 13x16 with a 104” projection.
I will be replacing my front stage that is made up of Polk in walls LC265I and matching center. They sound good, but the Studio should e a big improvement.

Concern 1: I currently am using a Denon 2808CI which from what I read will struggle to drive the 100’s. I’m thinking of bi-amp them for now with the 2808 and later adding a separate amp later. What do people think on here of using a Behringer pro amps? Do not want to spend more than $500 for a new amp if not needed.

Concern 2: My screen is on the 13” wall next to the door opening, so the speakers almost have to be a couple inches from the back wall and less than 12 inches from the side walls. I will toe them in, but concerned on their response being so close to the wall.

Thoughts and opinions welcome.

Thinking of upgrading from my monitor 7's v6's and center CC-190 to the v7's monitor 9's and the center 3. My paradigms are not even 6 months old yet and wouldn't know what to ask for them with shipping. Still have all boxes too....any thoughts??..

$600/700.. Not sure if it will a big enough lateral move though. If it where me I would find a CC-290v6 center

ok, just that less than 6 months seemed a little quick for a change, but that's me. please keep us posted and let us know what your getting from the 7's that you weren't getting from the 6's.

we will pray for you that 8's don't come out just after you have unpacked the new 7's and are connecting them up!

With my luck they will. I'm just going to pick up the bigger center. I can grab the CC-290 for 275 new in box.
